Originally, I was introduced to the blogosphere by our babysitter, Amy Rehrer (she is in the red sweater on the swing) -- though she didn't know it because she, her older sister (also on the swing) and both their parents (Pam and Bill Rehrer) were killed in a devastating car crash last July. Amy Rehrer and Bethany Rehrer (who babysat for us before she went off to Master's College) seemed very kind young women -- they loved the Lord, sought to serve Him, tried to rise above the fray of this world and are missed. Anyway, their local newspaper printed her link for everyone to have a look and so I did. For days afterward, I caught myself logging on, half expecting to find an update from her. Bizarre. But so is this technology, really.
Since then, I have, myself, been blessed by the keeping of an on-line diary. When I write, I have in mind for my audience: myself and someday, my children. I want to be sure that they have an honest and encouraging (as opposed to falsely pious and improperly stoic) account of being a wife and mother under the banner of God's love. Should the Lord call me away before I am a grandmother, I don't want my sweet girls mentored by women who are blind to their own sin in "bearing false witness," so, I write candidly -- for them.
But you are welcome too! I've nothing to hide; I am completely aware that all I publish could be read by anybody, far or near. It would be interesting though, to know who you are. Do you have a link? Shall we share? Are you just passing through one of my blog-friends' sites that have me bookmarked? Do tell. Come on, don't be shy. Leave me a comment and tell me how you came to find my blog, who you are, do I know you, and...if you have a site that might encourage me or others who "pop in" here.
Have a great night...or day... ;)
