California Vacation: More Disney Mayhem

This was our second day at Disneyland. We walked over to what used to be the parking lot so many years ago, but is now Part 2 of the whole overwhelming, over-stimulating Disney experience: California Adventure. It's not quaint like classic Disneyland, but we found a couple of rides to get on with the kids. On our way out, the girls spotted JoJo in a corner with no one around! So cute.

Throughout both parks, in celebration of Disney's 50th Anniversary, there are these fantastic collages made up of thumbnail pictures of real visitors. There must be a million of them because there were no less than 25 large-scale collages. I was very impressed. Below is a picture of the girls in front of the Nemo collage found in California Adventure.

Back in the original park, here we are on our way into the Small World Castle. This is my favorite ride in the whole park. I'm glad the girls like it as well.

Here, we caught Alice trying to run away in front of Disney City Hall. Keep smiling, Alice!

Here, the girls get a picture with Mickey at his house. This was an accident. We toured his house, but did not mean to get in the line for a picture. Oh well. They look like they don't mind one bit.

Below, the Mad Hatter's Tea Party is also one of my very favorite rides until Husband joins in to try to make us terribly sick with his spinning prowess.

I worry that this really will be our last visit to the "Magic Kingdom." Even if we have more children, what will this place be in 10 years? Today I saw suggestive slogans on t-shirts, many incidents of plumber's cleavage on girls ranging from 5 to 25 and some shockingly inappropriate physical affection happening in the line to get into the park. I'm easily offended by such behavior for the sake of my children, but it takes a lot to truly embarrass me, and this couple did!

The bottom line is that Disney should want to differentiate itself from Las Vegas, and needs a code of conduct and written dress restrictions to accomplish that.
