Stick a fork in me -- I'm done!
Three days at the happiest place on earth and I'm thinking I want to be home doing dishes and laundry. Don't get me wrong, it is a great place to visit; the landscaping is perfect, the Main Street shops are adorable and the food is delicious and generous in portion size, but three days from open to near close is a little too close to living here.
Today, Fifi conquered her fear and rode the Matterhorn, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain, and loved them, each and every one. We found that the popular attractions are wide open during parade time, so we ran around as fast as we could doing all the things that would otherwise have taken us hours! That was great fun. Our favorite rides were: Autopia, Small World, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Adventures in Wonderland and the Mad Hatter's Teacups.
The list of favorites for Fifi would be a little longer. She's funny. Anytime we wandered into unfamiliar territory that ended up scary, spooky or in any way questionable -- not only would she bristle at the fearful elements, but she would get downright OFFENDED! I couldn't tell though if she was offended at us for not protecting her from what we didn't know, or if she was offended at the creators of whichever ride or attraction was muddying her sensibilities.
I wonder what it's like to be Fifi. It must be so different to be pure and innocent -- to be without a lifetime's worth of dulling the senses with wickedness and fleshly pleasure. Oh, to go back. Way back.
