My Aching Womb...

I don't mean to be greedy, LORD...

But if You will give me the strength and health to do it again, I will. After all, I'm not quite as old as Sarah, and Jim isn't near as old as Abraham.

I know I should be grateful for the ones I've had...and have...and I am--but how could I not want to do it all over again when I come across a moment like this?

Wrapped tight in my arms - in a huge, warm hug...

I'll pray with you.

Another girl would be wonderful - but what a blessing it would be to add a little boy to the mix??!!

I know exactly how you feel. Which is why I came to be pregnant with #4--which turned out to be #4 + #5!

I guess my womb was aching more than I thought!! :)

That said, I do believe there is a time for procreating and a time to cease from procreating. That's in Ecc. 3, isn't it? :) I will always be open to the option that the Lord will send more blessings, and I would, of course, welcome them. But my body has taken a beating from the twin pregnancy. I'm very worn out. And that's saying it lightly.

I think perhaps these last two were my last. It's a sort of mourning, I think, to let that chapter close. But even if my womb aches again, my body is aching more.

Who knows, though? God may have other plans for me!

Either way, I'm content.

Do you know that I pray for that very thing for you, in the dark hours of the night as I hold my little one and think of my aching friends? I do.

Someone who produces such amazing cuteness should be able to continue... and I know you are grateful, my friend. It doesn't take away the ache, and He understands.

Love you.

I have walked this road for miles with you, dear woman.

The desire is so great sometimes, it is overwhelming.

You are not old at all!! In fact, you would be right up there with the common age for child bearing in this day & age!!

I pray that it would be HIS will.

And may HE answer your prayers.

The picture is beautiful.

I will pray for you! That's one of the reasons we ended up with a new baby at 40. :-)

May you be blessed with the desire of your heart. Our newest is just 3 months old (he's #5), and I'm 40. It thrilled me to pieces when I heard my husband tell a friend who asked if we were "done", "Only God knows."

I had my daughter at 40, and know many who have conceived years later than that.

:) I will add you to the list of friends who are uttering those same words. :) We will pray that God will give you another one, if that's what He wants to do. And why wouldn't He? You've done such a great job with the other two!
