It hurts.
*Ouch!*
She is alternately asking me awesome questions like, "Mommy, how can we see our dreams at night if we're asleep?"
And giggling hard at my plea, "Ouch! You're killing me!" (Which is just what Dumpling screams through her laughter almost. every. single. morning. Payback is rough business.)
So, I'm waiting for Cuddlebug to mimic my response and start singing to me,
My mother bids me bind my hair
With bands of rosy hue,
Tie up my sleeves with ribbons rare,
And lace my bodice blue.
For why, she cries, sit still and weep,
While others dance and play?
Alas! I scarce can go or creep,
While Lubin is away...

And a lovely job she did!
I so enjoy your blog. Your posts are a tremendous encouragement to me. (And, dare I say, quite convicting as well.)
I think she has a future in hairdressing. It's a whole new you!
I'm with Big Mama... you need to find the nearest beauty school. ;) This is just too precious!
My daughter often plays with my hair. She did different hair styles tonight. There are some moments when it hurts a little but I admit I really enjoy people fiddling with my hair. I enjoy going to the beauty salon to get my hair done. Aside from the times it might hurt, it's relaxing for me when someone works with my hair. Sounds like you had a fun evening together!
Hope you have a great day tomorrow!

This is so sweet! Did you write the little *song*? I love it - so perfect. Can't wait to say "Ouch!" when Eliana *does* my hair! ;)
Enjoy!
No, I've edited the song to include the credit.
It's one of the first songs I ever sang under the direction of a voice coach...25 years ago!
Sounds like a wonderful evening - I have one similar to it from Feisty's hairdressing last Sunday - including barrettes. Such fun memories!
Fun times to be had, it looks like... at least for Cuddlebug. :) I, myself, LOVE when my kids "do" my hair. All I have to do is sit there and they are occupied for a good 15 minutes while I get a treat (I love having my hair played with too, like Karen said.)
It seems you and Cuddlebug are having good nights together while the rest are out for the night. So glad for you girls!
TOO cute, and I love her smile in the picture with you and how proud she looks of her hairstylin'!!!! Good job, Cuddlebug!
Is she available for appointments? I could really use a new 'do, and yours looks so much better than mine! (really)
Ah, I have many similar pictures after my daughter was done playing beautician with me. So sweet!! Thanks for posting.
What a fun night!
My dad used to let me play Beauty Shop on him just because he liked to have his hair messed with. Seemed to find it relaxing. Funny how he wouldn't allow photographic evidence though. :)
Beautfiul hair. I can remember "fixing" both my mom and dads hair at times. What fun it is for a girl.
You look smashing dahling!
How much fun is that?!
Blessings,
Sue
too cute and sweet!
HAHA! I remember doing the exact same thing to my mom. Only I did it while she was drive. "Mommy, you could be beautiful you know, if you let me do your hair..."
But so you know Grafted, even though I'm terrible at getting around to commenting, your blog is one that makes me consider my faith in ways I haven't necessarily thought of. Your posts are blessings to me, and your comments on my blog have at times literally made me LOL. YOU are a blessing to me. Thank you!
How adorable...and I *love* that you posted the pics of the beautiful job that cuddlebug did on your hair. That is so precious.
Haha!
Thanks for visiting my blog and the kind words.
I read your profile and think that is really amazing how God turned your life around and is using you today! God bless :)
Such a beautiful hair style. It looks like it was much cheeper and far much funner than any beauty shop I have been too.
Have a great week.
Jane
...And...you look great in red! :)
