A Poll for You

Notice on my sidebar, that I have a very unscientific poll going about why folks visit, read, but lurk away without saying, "Hello..."

What's the matter with you?! Were you raised by wolves?

Ahem.

As I was going to say...feel free to vote as many choices as you want before you hit the VOTE button. And be assured that I can not see you voting on my sitemeter, so your choice is safe and secure--just between you and God...Creator of the whole wide universe...Whom you will one day stand before in judgment.

No pressure.

LOL! The "I don't like you" option is very funny.

I'm off to vote!

Are you *sure* you can't track us down? ;)

All right....! You got me...! I'm from Malaysia. Did you know you had a reader from that far away?? :-)

You crack me up.

No, Andrea...I can't see your vote.

Yes, Flora...I can see where people are coming from, so it's nice to know who's coming here from Malaysia! I'm so glad you said, "hi," so I can now visit you. :)

That is a question I always want to ask on my blogs also!!

People visit but never comment, not even to say hi!

Cool poll feature, I will have to check that out!

I really enjoy your blog. I find it challenging, encouraging, and entertaining. I usually don't comment on blogs if I don't know the blogger personally, except for today of course!

Ahem, too cute! I can claim 4/6, and it isn't that I don't like you :> Great poll....and it worked (at least on me)

Hi Lisa! Welcome. Hey, wait...you're right here?!

Oh! Yes! I know you. ;) It took me a minute.

Is this all you have to do to get people to leave comments? Geeesh! I made a request to find out who was coming to my blog a while back. I got maybe 3 replies. Yours was one of them so thank you, thank you. I'm up to almost 800 hits and I know who a handful of them are. Maybe your poll will shed some light on this. I'll be watching.

I hate it when people don't comment on my blog.....and here I've been doing it to you! Just couldn't think of anything to say; but I'll try to at least leave a "hi" from now on.

This has to be one of the best, most creative tactics I have seen a blogger use to elicit comments. Very cute!

Grafted Branch said...

Tactic? TACTIC?! No tactic. lol.

Really, after finding out that one local friend didn't know how to leave a comment, I began to wonder why people keep coming back and keep slinking away without so much as a, "Hey! I know you!" or "I came here by way of ...."

If I wanted comments for the sake of comments, I'd just say something divisive...about politics...or music! ;)

You are soooo funny!! :)
I am a lurker, I guess you could say.
I love love love your blog and can TOTALLY relate to your testimony of salvation and many many other aspects of your life, however your depth, knowledge, and wisdom more often than not, intimidates me... Since I have absolutely very little writing talent, I choose to merely read and enjoy!
I have started to comment a time or two, because I wanted say "preach it sister", or something to that affect... However, for some reason or another changed my mind. Anyway, I have such a deep appreciation for your uncompromised following of the Word of God and our Savior Jesus Christ, your blog is very refreshing! Thank you!
Plus, I homeschool, and while my children are a little younger(7, 5, and 10mos.), I like to read about your homeschool journey because I agree with soooo much of how you are bringing up your children! Even though, I am not sure that you and I have similiar characters--I seem to be of the LOUDER variety and maybe even a little more reactionary--oh and don't forget VERY emotional!!!! ;) So, my only daughter(7), might not grow up to be the sweet tender lady that I truelly long for her to be, only because the momma has a whole lotta flesh to bring into subjection!
Anyway, I went on a rabbit trail! I was saying that I like to read about your journey because it is one that I would like to emulate, even if we(as in you and I) are very different types of mothers!
Hope that made sense--I am totally rambling!
Thank you for a glimpse into your journey following Jesus!
God bless you,
Sarah T

I'd leave a comment everyday if I had the time :-) I try to comment often though because it is polite and it is also a pet peeve of mine when people I know IRL cut me off when I am telling them an anecdote about my exciting life by saying "I know, I read about it on your blog"

Nice.

Show your face there every once in a while then, thank you very much :-)

I don't know you in real life, but if I'm ever down that way I'd sure love to meet you - you are such a wonderful example!!

I'm a "lurker" so this is my first comment.
Just wanted to share with you that I enjoy your blog; style of writing, humor and how it shows the day to day "living out" of your faith.
Thanks!
