Tirling and Mirling

I just had my very first tirl! (Talk in real life.)

It was with one of my very favorite bloggers. She's an inspiration. She's got a gift for frugal homemaking. She has lovely taste. She's faithful. She's honest. She's funny. And she can craft a story like no one else I've read on the internet.

This week, I received from her some books she wanted to unload--books that Fifi will eventually read in her history studies. But you know what? She didn't just send the free books, she sweetened the package with these adorable hand-crafted bookmarks and a little cross-stitched Saguaro cactus gift tag. How cute is that?

This is the kind of thoughtfulness that just blesses the whole wide world, one person at a time.

'Round here, we're all just so glad that we no longer must mark our pages in Little Pilgrim's Progress or Pinocchio with the nearest tissue or paper towel! And we're excited that Lady Laura's creativity has inspired crafty Dumpling to make her own bookmarks, and that Fifi has found something new and winsome to put her hand to, in the idea of the gift tag.

Now, I must sleep. Because in the morning I get to mirl (meet in real life) and enjoy breakfast with this lady!

Mirls and tirls -- funny words. I found you via A New Chelsea Morning.

It's nice to come across positive, upbeat blogs.

What FUN! There is just nothing like talking to or meeting bloggie friends in real life... I've had the privilege several times now and, once I'm past the initial lump in my throat and first five minutes of awkwardness ;), it's always the greatest.
