Schoolhouse Rock.
Our favorite Saturday morning, animated, song-styled shorts from the 70's on DVD. It's a good thing.
Anyway, I had time to read. I had time to listen. I had time to talk. And I had time to listen again. In the middle of the day! (Did I already say that?)
Hours later, in the middle of what we, around here, call, "a good Costco dinner," I was thinking random thoughts and one was this:
"While I'm waiting for the girls to finish their dinner, maybe I should "update" my cell phone contact list. There should be a name for this. Division of the assets. Assigning of the friends. In marriage, it's called divorce. There should be a name for this sudden and complete collapse of a friendship."
And then something wonderful occured to me.
And this is what it sounded like inside my head:
"The World would say something like, 'If you were on fire, I would not cross the street to spit on you.' But truly -- I say if you were in trouble, and I was the last one you called but the first one who picked up, I would drop everything...and come running."
So, I'm leaving my cell phone contact list as it is.
