Brrrr! It's Cold

You would have though it was Christmas this morning.

There was a hussle and a bussle amongst the girls to get dressed, and to my delight, there was a particular attention to making everything just right in the bedroom and in the completion of the morning chores; nobody wanted to be called back mid-morning.

Children raced through their breakfast and donned their gay apparel.

Then, before me, three gleeful girls presented themselves, in turn. The younger two were draped in sweaters buttoned to the neck and socks on their paws because they've lost their mittens, and my oldest can't stop looking down at her new faux-cable knit sweater with the white dickey.

Autumn arrived here today and the projected high was to be a brisk 74 degrees.

Hey, 74 is colder than it was last Christmas! We discovered this morning that the children need new "winter" clothes. We don't even have a turtle neck for them to wear. I love Texas winters and I'm so looking forward to a few months of cooler if not cold weather.
