Born For Adversity

Dumpling is outside digging a grave for a dead fly. She is weeping because, though she tried hard to stop her, Cuddlebug (who wanted to squish the bug) managed to, "bended his leg," before she could rescue him -- though he was already dead.

I caught them fighting over something, and when I had them bring it over to me for mediation, hand in hand, to work it out, it went something like this:

C: "I want to squish the bug. Because, Dumpling, he's dead already."

D: "No."

And that's when she dissolved into a puddle of tears and I recommended returning him to the earth.

Is this what the Bible means that a brother (or sister, as the case may be) is born for adversity?

Awwww... I don't know if that's what that means, but that little sweetie of yours sure does have a tender spirit. That is precious and I hope she never loses it.
