Setting the Stage

The title of my blog, Restoring the Years, comes from the Old Testament Book of Joel, Chapter 2. It is a beautiful promise of restoration that the Lord makes to the repentant Jews, His Chosen people. I have been humbled that He applies the promise to me; I'm a grafted branch, not a child of the bloodline. I'm grateful to have been allowed to lap up the crumbs under the table of His children, Israel. Now, secure in the knowledge that I am His and He is mine, the Lord is graciously restoring my many wasted years through the efforts of my household to home-educate our 3 elementary-aged children. He also has put our family under clear and biblical teachers over the 10 years that we've walked with Him to aid us in our desire to live strongly for Him. To God be the glory! Great things He has done!
